Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues 100th Anniversary Project Legacy Fund

The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL), which represents 161 Community leagues in Edmonton, will be 100 years old in 2021. To celebrate this milestone, the EFCL has worked with the City of Edmonton on a significant upgrade to Hawrelak Park; one that celebrates and recognizes the amazing contributions Community Leagues and their volunteers have made to the very fabric and quality of life in Edmonton while adding park features that everyone can enjoy.

You can still participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity that supports a fundamental movement that has shaped our city for over 100 years now. To mark EFCL’s 100th anniversary, this project tells the story of community building in our city and offers an accessible, beautiful, centrally located outdoor space for all to enjoy.  William Hawrelak Park hosts nearly 1.5 million visitors annually and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Individuals, families, foundations and corporations can still make a gift to support this incredible movement and legacy of community building.  Donations of $1,000 and more made before November 30th, 2021 will be displayed on the plaza donor wall at the park permanently.  Donations after this date will be displayed on the EFCL website and project recognition communications.
