Senior Business Systems Analyst

(Temporary Full Time – 12 months)

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and enhancement of ECF’s ERP and CRM platforms, with a particular focus on Salesforce. This role will oversee data integrity and process optimization in systems such as Sage Intacct and Smart Simple and will develop process documentation to aid staff in utilizing these platforms efficiently.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will also lead various IT-related projects, gather and define system requirements, manage relationships with departments and external vendors, and streamline internal controls for effective data management. This role will be instrumental in supporting the continuous development and enhancement of ECF’s business systems.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • System Administration and Optimization:
    • Lead the administration, optimization, and enhancement of ECF’s ERP (Sage Intacct) and CRM (Salesforce) systems.
    • Maintain data integrity standards and ensure effective utilization of Smart Simple and Sage Intacct platforms.
    • Develop and update documentation for processes and procedures to ensure efficient use of systems by staff.
  • Project Leadership:
    • Lead and support IT projects and initiatives, gathering system requirements for projects and significant application improvements.
    • Collaborate with various departments and external partners to ensure successful implementation of system upgrades and improvements.
  • Process Improvement and Data Management:
    • Streamline internal controls and processes for data management.
    • Ensure accurate data management processes that comply with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Relations:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
    • Serve as a liaison between departments, IT Service Desk, and third-party vendors to prioritize and manage action items.

The Ideal Candidate 

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • University degree preferably in Computer Science, Finance or Business combined with a minimum of 5 years directly related work experience in administrating information technology or CRM/ERP systems. Equivalent combinations of related post-secondary education and directly related work experience will be considered. NOTE: Candidates who do not meet the minimum work experience requirements may be considered at a lower classification and/or salary level.
  • Salesforce system administration, preferably combined with Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201). Experience with Sage Intacct administration is also an asset.
  • Versatility with a combination of databases, platforms and systems and have experience in leading IT projects and utilizing project management methodologies.

Additional requirements include:

  • Superior analytical skills and problem-solving ability, including the ability to appropriately evaluate, assess and problem solve even when information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in information, data management, process automation, analytics and/or computer systems.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational and workload prioritization skills.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization platforms is an asset (eg. Power BI).

  • Salary Range: $66,000-$90,000/year; candidates who do not meet the minimum work experience requirements may be considered at a lower classification and/or salary level.
  • A 35-hour standard work week.

  • A 9% contribution to our group RRSP.
  • A hybrid work environment where employees have the opportunity to collaborate on site a minimum of 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
